This is the end of "low-code". If this is a deal breaker for you, and you absolutely MUST follow these requirements, then feel free to spend the time and money to implement a custom component.

But, IMHO it is worth pushing back this requirement and spend the money on delivering real business values.

If you have a use case and can demonstrate that the current behavior is somehow prohibitive or detrimental to it, you should open a support case with Appian and ask them to consider a new behavior (or perhaps a new option to govern how the field behaves).

Yes as Stefan notes, this seems to be the built-in behavior of that component. I'm not sure why you'd want it to "push down" the other fields either, considering that as soon as the user finishes with the signature box it will presumably collapse again. What exactly is your use case here?

AFAIK it's not possible. Either move the signature field below or leave it as it is.

I don't think you can customize that. The nature of that drawing pad is to block input to any other field while open.
