understood - the one caveat is, it can be problematic to float a very-old thread back to the top of the board with a brand new reply, since lots of people click into threads and don't necessarily pay attention to the old datestamps on the original post or most of the comments, and see advice that might be outdated, topics that are no longer relevant, links that are broken, and/or other info that's just plain confusing.

FYI, this is a super-old thread at this point and loads of things may have changed since then. However if your Use Case is to split a PDF into separate PDFs per page, I assume you can try using 'Extract PDF Pages' from the PDF Tools plug-in.

Hi Stefan, just wondering how you split the PDF docs on upload? Do you just scan each page into a different image using a scanner/photocopier?

I do not have any ready made logic at hand, but the idea is to convert the PDF to images on upload. In case you want to support DOCX files you can first convert it to PDF and then to images. You can create a folder for each PDF and then add a imagefield to your interface that shows all images for a folder as thumbnails.

As mentioned in the post above rendering of the the PDF Tools plugin is not that good and it fails for larger documents. So I suggest to use the version I posted there.

@yagyadeepk Hello, as per my knowledge there is no OOTB functionality to acheive your requirement.

I believe there is an entry in the forum which talks about converting each page of the document into an image and that allows you to go through the document (in carousel style) without downloading it. This may not meet your requirement completely but it would be worth taking a look at it. Reference to the news post /search?q=OriginalPostID-198690

But if the PDF document which you are trying to show is constant or fixed, there would be a way, save each page of the Document as One Image, and you can call that Image in one section which contains, 2 columns each of which contains, image 1 (page 1) and Image 2 (page 2 ) respectively, down to that you can keep 2 buttons next and previous, and implement the logic to make the image constant change. Hope this would help your functionality which is almost what is expected.

@yagyadeepk,AFAIK there is no OOTB functionality available in SAIL, however this functionality was implemented previously in non sail forms, Not sure this can be done in SAIL.
