Instead of showing the document download link on a SAIL form, i want it to show as a pop-up when the link is hit and where the basic user can scroll through the pages and close it.
understood - the one caveat is, it can be problematic to float a very-old thread back to the top of the board with a brand new reply, since lots of people click into threads and don't necessarily pay attention to the old datestamps on the original post or most of the comments, and see advice that might be outdated, topics that are no longer relevant, links that are broken, and/or other info that's just plain confusing.

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

Thanks Mike, old thread but still a current problem! Your reply was very much appreciated.

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

FYI, this is a super-old thread at this point and loads of things may have changed since then. However if your Use Case is to split a PDF into separate PDFs per page, I assume you can try using 'Extract PDF Pages' from the PDF Tools plug-in.

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

Hi Stefan, just wondering how you split the PDF docs on upload? Do you just scan each page into a different image using a scanner/photocopier?

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

I do not have any ready made logic at hand, but the idea is to convert the PDF to images on upload. In case you want to support DOCX files you can first convert it to PDF and then to images. You can create a folder for each PDF and then add a imagefield to your interface that shows all images for a folder as thumbnails.

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

Can you give sample logic this implementation?

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

No worries , happy to help !!

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

Glad I could help you a bit :)

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

Thanks a lot. This may not meet your requirement completely but it would be worth taking a look at it. Hope this would help your functionality which is almost what is expected.

RE: Any OOTB functionality to have PDF documents popup on the screen?

@yagyadeepk,AFAIK there is no OOTB functionality available in SAIL, however this functionality was implemented previously in non sail forms, Not sure this can be done in SAIL.
