KB-1883 How to enable/disable access to portal /apps

Purpose

Since portal was deprecated, access to <APPIAN_SITE>/suite/apps is blocked by default.

Instructions

If you would like to enable /apps, add conf.security.IS_APPS_PORTAL_VISIBLE=true to custom.properties.
If you would like to disable /apps, set conf.security.IS_APPS_PORTAL_VISIBLE=false in custom.properties.
Restart the application server to deploy the change.
For Appian Cloud customers, please create a case with Appian Support for assistance in changing this property.

Affected Versions

This article applies to Appian 18.4 and later.
