Purpose

Starting in Appian 18.3, the Document Viewer Component (DVC) requires a static domain to be correctly configured as mentioned in the documentation. This article outlines how to confirm whether or not the static domain is configured correctly.

Instructions

Navigate to <AppianStaticURL>/suite/rest/a/content/latest/docview/a.
Using browser developer tools confirm if an HTTP 200 response is returned. If yes, the static domain is set up correctly.
If an HTTP 200 response is not returned:
1. For Appian self-managed environments, begin the troubleshooting process by checking the web server configurations. Ensure that along with the FQDN, static and dynamic domains are handled properly by the web server as mentioned in the documentation.
2. For Appian Cloud environments, open a support case with Appian Technical Support.
