DRAFT KB-XXXX Service accounts log warning messages every time the accounts are authenticated

This issue has been resolved in an Appian hotfix/new Appian version. Please apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.

Symptoms

The following warning message appears in the application server log every time service accounts authenticate. This can be confusing when seen multiple times in the application logs. 

WARN  com.appiancorp.suiteapi.security.auth.AuthenticationProviderWrapper - Empty SCS key returned. <API user> will not be able to access Secure Credential Store.

Cause

The logging has been improved so that this warning message is not logged for service accounts. This issue has been addressed via AN-141740 in the following hotfixes/versions:

Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.

This article applies to Appian 19.2 and 19.3.
