KB-2086 Insights charts do not display any data

Symptoms

Symptom 1

The charts on the Metrics page of the Insights site only load the header and do not show any data.

Symptom 2

The charts on the Metrics page of the Insights site get stuck loading the data and the pre-populated End Time field does not translate to the correct time.

Cause

There are two possible causes for these issues. 

forum.appian-dynamic.com is not accessible on the current network or browser. Alternatively, the user has a non-dynamically updating timezone on their Forum profile, leading to the pre-populated end time being one hour ahead during daylight savings time. The end time validation determines valid times by the user's timezone, and therefore will not throw an error indicating the time is invalid.

Action

  1. Ensure that there is no allow or block list on your network or browser that is blocking traffic to forum.appian-dynamic.com.
  2. Update the user's timezone in Forum to one of the dynamically changing timezones and reload the interface.
