KB-2121 Twilio Component version 1 fails to load with error "Failed to decrypt" after applying a hotfix

Symptoms

After applying the latest hotfix for Appian versions 19.3 or later, the Twilio component fails to render within Appian, and the application server log shows the following error:

ERROR com.appiancorp.twilioservlet.TwilioServlet - Error initializing Twilio
com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.AppianException: Failed to decrypt. Only values of type ’Encrypted Text’ can be decrypted. (APNX-1-4260-002)

Cause

Twilio version 1 is not compatible with the latest hotfix versions for Appian 19.3 and later.

Action

Upgrade the Twilio Component from version 1 to version 2. For instructions, follow KB-2118.

Affected Versions

This article applies to Appian 19.3 and later.

Symptoms

Cause

Twilio version 1 is not compatible with the latest hotfix versions for Appian 19.3 and above.

Action

Upgrade the Twilio Component from version 1 to version 2. For instructions, follow KB-2118.
