Symptoms

An object's "Last Modified" timestamp does not match the "Created" timestamp indicated in the most recent entry of the object's version history.

Cause

The previous latest version of the object was deleted so that its second latest version is now the latest version, and retains its own "Created" timestamp.

Action

This is expected behavior when the latest version of an object is deleted as the time an object was last modified and the time a specific version was "created" are two distinct timestamps.

Affected Versions

This article applies to all versions of Appian.

For example, the object's "Created" date is 3/28/2022 5:32 PM, while the object's "Last Modified" date is 3/28/2022 5:34 PM.

Cause

The object's previous "Latest" version was deleted and replaced with a previous version. Please see the following example below:

Action

There is no action or workaround currently available for this issue as this is expected product behavior. The time an object was "modified" and the time a version was "created" are two distinct time stamps.
