&lt;h2 id="symptoms"&gt;Symptoms&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;While inspecting or importing an application, Appian works for some time. After a few minutes, the following error message is shown:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-11/pastedimage1487103665292v1.png"&gt;&lt;img src="/resized-image/__size/1200x2409/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-11/pastedimage1487103665292v1.png" alt=" " /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;pre&gt;&lt;code&gt;An internal error has occurred.
The page could not be loaded. [HTTP Code = 503] [APNX-1-4279-001]
&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/pre&gt;
&lt;h2 id="cause"&gt;Cause&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The following are possible causes for this error:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The Search Server is offline.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;The import is taking longer than expected and has timed out. The web server closes the connection which cause the web browser to respond with, server is unavailable.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;h2 id="action"&gt;Action&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Refer to article &lt;a href="/support/w/kb/257/kb-1032-issues-with-search-server-functionality" target="_blank"&gt;KB-1032&lt;/a&gt; to resolve issues relating to the search server.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;If Action 1 does not speed up the import, then increase the keep alive in the web server. For more information on increasing this setting, refer to the following documentation:
