Please apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <h2 id="symptoms">Symptoms</h2> <p>A process instance with a negative process ID (PID) is opened in <strong>Edit Process</strong> mode, then switched to <strong>Monitor Process</strong> mode. When a user selects <strong>Modify</strong> &gt; <strong>Resume</strong>, the following error occurs indicating that the process is being edited by another user:</p> <p><a href="/cfs-file/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-11/pastedimage1487943529122v1.png"><img src="/resized-image/__size/1200x55555/__key/communityserver-wikis-components-files/00-00-00-00-11/pastedimage1487943529122v1.png" alt=" " /></a></p> <pre><code>One or more of the requested processes could not be resumed because the process is being edited by another user. </code></pre> <p>This error will occur if the PID is negative and no other users are currently editing this process.</p> <p>To confirm that the process ID is negative, perform the following:</p> <ol> <li>In the All Processes report in <em>/designer</em>, add a column of New Data. <ul> <li>Set the label to &quot;PID&quot;.</li> <li>Set the definition to <code>=pp!id</code>.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Save the report.
