Common Questions

How do I add additional storage to my site?

When additional storage is purchased or acquired as part of your contract, an Appian Support case will be created to track the amount of additional storage available. When you wish to add additional storage to your site, please update the support case with the specific amount of storage you would like added and what site you would like it added to.

How much additional storage can be added at a time?

Additional storage is able to be added in any increment of 25 GB.

Do I have to allocate all additional storage to the same site?

No, additional storage is able to be added to any site.

Example: If you have 100 GB of storage to allocate, 50 GB can be allocated to TEST and 50 GB to DEV.

Am I able to reallocate disk space from one site to another?

No, once additional storage is added to a site it cannot be reallocated to another site if disk usage needs change.

Is additional storage only added to one node on a High Availability (HA) site?

For an HA site, when disk space is allocated to one node, it is also allocated to all nodes.

Will Appian ever add additional storage without customer approval?

Appian Support will not add additional disk without approval on the associated support case unless your production site is nearing 100% disk utilization. In that case, Appian will add 25GB of the available additional storage to prevent your production site from going down. If no additional storage is available, Appian will NOT add additional storage.
