Symptoms

After upgrading to Appian 16.2 or later, the following INFO message can be seen in the application server log upon the first start of the application server:

INFO com.appiancorp.common.ObjectSynchronizer - Service channels is missing users (0 through XXX):"ANONYMOUS","Administrator",...

Cause

The user synchronization between the engines is done automatically after upgrade in Appian 16.2 and later. The message is printed before the synchronization happens and should stop appearing once the propagation is completed.

Action

This message can be safely disregarded as the synchronization happens after the message is printed. A way to confirm is to check that it is possible to log in as any of the preexisting users.

Affected Versions

This article applies to Appian 16.2 and later.
