It depends on the password expiration policy configured in the environment, for example, if the <a href="https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/latest/Appian_Administration_Console.html#Appian_Authentication">password expiration</a> is set to expire in 60 days, then the Administrator&rsquo;s password will also expire in 60 days.</p> <p>The unique fact about the Administrator account is that it is immune to deactivation even if there is no login from that account for a certain period of time.</p> <p><strong>Note:</strong> in cloud installations, passwords expire every 90 days by default.</p> <h2 id="action">Action</h2> <p>Reset the password of the Administrator account as and when prompted.</p> <h2 id="affected-versions">Affected Versions</h2> <p>This article applies to all versions of Appian.</p> </div> <p>Last Reviewed:&nbsp;March 2017</p> <div style="clear:both;"></div> <div style="font-size: 90%;">Tags: administration, admin console, users</div>
