&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Registering as a user on Appian Community provides further access to Community features and content. &amp;nbsp;A user that is associated with a Customer or Partner account will gain additional access to resources and content on Appian Community. For more information on access by user type &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="/p/help#access"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;click here&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;There are two ways to register a new user on the Appian Community that are described below. &lt;strong&gt;Note:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;As a Appian Community user policy, all Support and User Administration accounts must be named users with individual email-IDs. Setting up these accounts with group email addresses is not permitted. This measure ensures proper identification and accountability for access to our systems and services.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A) Self register on Appian Community&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li style="font-weight:400;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Access the &lt;/span&gt;&lt;a href="https://login.appian.com/signin/register"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Appian Community login page&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li style="font-weight:400;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Click on the &amp;ldquo;Register Now&amp;rdquo; link towards the bottom of the page&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li style="font-weight:400;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Enter your email address, your name and a password. Note that the minimum password requirements are:&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;at least 8 characters&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;at least 1 uppercase letter&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;at least 1 lowercase letter&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;no alphabetic special characters (such as &amp;aacute; or &amp;ntilde;)&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Upon logging into Appian Community, you will be asked to complete the required fields in your user profile. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;From the Community user profile page please associate yourself with your company&amp;#39;s account by&amp;nbsp;making the appropriate selection in&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;Primary Member Organization field.&amp;nbsp; This&amp;nbsp;will grant you access to the corresponding Customer or Partner user type role.&amp;nbsp; Your company&amp;#39;s&amp;nbsp;user registration administrator(s) will be notified when you update your user profile and associate it with your company&amp;#39;s account.&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;Association is required to be eligible for access to cases, such as Appian Support and Appian&amp;nbsp;Accelerate cases.&lt;/span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Note:&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;In order to be&amp;nbsp;added as a support contact, you must have a valid office number in&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;your &lt;strong&gt;Forum&lt;/strong&gt; user profile (separate to the &lt;strong&gt;Community&lt;/strong&gt; user profile). &lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;If the user is a new Community user, an email will be sent to them with their credentials. &amp;nbsp;If the user is already a Community user they will be notified that their user type has been updated and their access level will be escalated.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Click on the &amp;ldquo;Register Now&amp;rdquo; button&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;Enter your email address&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Follow the instructions received in the email&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="text-decoration:underline;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;B)&amp;nbsp;Register as a customer or partner user&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;This will give you additional access to resources and content that is available for customers or partners. &amp;nbsp;For more information on access by user type &lt;a title="Access" href="/p/help#access"&gt;click here&lt;/a&gt;. &amp;nbsp;To register as a customer or partner user request your account&amp;rsquo;s primary contact or user registration administrator to add you to the company account using the User Registration application.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Note:&lt;/strong&gt; The next steps are only intended for Primary Contacts and User Registration administrators.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The User Registration application allows authorized contacts to register users on behalf of their company. An account record page is also included where the authorized contacts can view a listing of all users associated with their company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Steps to register a new user for your company account:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Login to &lt;a href="https://forum.appian.com/suite/sites/support/page/accounts"&gt;Accounts page&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp; as an authorized contact&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click on&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;[Your Company]&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Click on the &lt;strong&gt;Register a New User&lt;/strong&gt; button&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Complete the information for the new user. &lt;strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/strong&gt;Email addresses must contain a valid company-supplied domain (e.g., appian.com).&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Submit the form&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-weight:400;"&gt;An email will be sent to the new user with their credentials. &amp;nbsp;If the user is already a Community user their user type will be updated and their access level will be escalated.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
