KB-1277 Error attempting to unzip Appian hotfix package

Symptoms

When applying a hotfix to an Appian environment on Linux, unzipping the hotfiix zip generates the following message:

[user@localhost ~]$ unzip <APPIAN_VERSION>_Hotfix_Package_<A>.zip
Archive: <APPIAN_VERSION>_Hotfix_Package_<A>.zip
file #1 (deleteFiles.bat):
mismatch between local and central GPF bit 11 ("UTF-8"),
continuing with central flag (IsUTF8 = 0)
inflating: deleteFiles.bat
file #2 (deleteFiles.sh):
mismatch between local and central GPF bit 11 ("UTF-8"),
continuing with central flag (IsUTF8 = 0)
inflating: deleteFiles.sh
extracting: updates.zip

Cause

The hotfix zip does not have the encoding flag set to a specific encoding nor set to use a default encoding, therefore the package opening program uses its own default (usually UTF-8) producing this message.

This error message can be disregarded.

Action

Disregard this message and proceed with the hotfix installation.
