Symptoms

When the system language is set to French Canadian (fr_CA) and a user attempts to manually type in a date using the proper French format (DD/MM/YYYY) into a date field, the following validation error is seen:

The value provided is not a valid date. Valid format is yy-MM-dd.

Cause

This issue has been reported to the Appian product team. The reference number for this issue is AN-77442.

Action

Select the desired date from the calendar picker, rather than typing it in. This will render the date in the proper DD/MM/YYYY format.

Affected Versions

This article applies to Appian 16.2 and later.
