After upgrade to 16.3 or 17.1 from 16.2 HF Package E or later, sub-processes do not always start on the latest version of the process model.
There are no related errors in the application server log or alerts generated.
This issue has been reported to the Appian product team. The reference number for this issue is AN-79387.
This issue was resolved in 16.3 Hotfix Package E and 17.1 Hotfix Package B.
Please apply the latest Hotfix Package for your Appian version.
Republish the parent process model and sub-process process model in that order.
