A crash &lt;strong&gt;hs_err_pid*.log&lt;/strong&gt;&amp;nbsp;file will be generated, containing any one of the following references as the problematic frame:&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;code&gt;org.apache.lucene.store.ByteBufferIndexInput.readByte()B&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;code&gt;org.apache.lucene.codecs.blocktree.SegmentTermsEnumFrame.loadBlock()V&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;&lt;code&gt;~StubRoutines::jshort_disjoint_arraycopy&lt;/code&gt;&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;h2&gt;Cause&lt;/h2&gt; &lt;p&gt;This is caused by a known issue with certain versions of the Lucene library.
