KB-1667 How to modify the email header/footer

Purpose

This article outlines how to modify the default email header or footer.

Instructions

The HTML Templates are configurable by uploading a new version.

18.1 and earlier

Log in as a Designer.
Navigate to Runtime Data.
Select Documents and expend the Communities list.
Click on Default Community and then System Knowledge Center.
Select E-mail Templates.
Click on the checkbox at the left of emailFooter or emailHeader.
Click on Download and modify the file with a text editor.
Click on New Version (do not delete the initial version) and upload the file that has been modified.

18.2 and later

Log in as a Designer.
Navigate to Appian Designer.
Click on Objects.
Click on the checkbox at the left of emailFooter or emailHeader.
Click on More and then on Download.
Unzip the folder and modify the file with a text editor.
Click on More, then on New Version (do not delete the initial version) and upload the file that has been modified.

Affected Versions

This article applies to all versions of Appian.

Purpose

This section is required for this template. A lot of the older How To articles might not have this section, but going forward we should try to keep a standard format. Provide a short statement about the purpose of this article.

Instructions

The HTML Templates are configurable by uploading a new version at:

Documents- Default Community - System Knowledge Center - E-mail Templates.

Simply download the HTML (header or footer), update it with a text editor and click "NEW VERSION" DO NOT DELETE, create a new version instead.
