Autoscaling for Process Execution (“EPEx”)

Appian is introducing Autoscaling mode for process execution. This capability enables Appian to easily scale to handle high throughput, unattended automation processes—or, in other words, high-volume processes that don’t require human intervention. It also means the process engine can seamlessly accommodate varying workloads and spikes in demand without compromising performance or requiring downtime.

Our beta program began earlier this year, which has allowed select customers and partners the opportunity to use and provide feedback on this new capability. Early benchmarking results have revealed that Appian can now execute more than one billion actions per day per customer. Additionally, beta results have shown significant improvements in execution overhead, CPU efficiency, and memory usage.

How to join the Beta

Beta participation for this program has closed, but if you have a specific use case in mind that involves the execution of unattended automation process models at a high volume, we’d love to hear from you. You can share details about your use case by visiting our site and the Appian Product team will reach out to you if your use case is a good fit for our Autoscaling capability once it is generally available.
