Failed to initialize ElasticSearch node on any of the specified ports

Question

We are migrating from Appian 7.7 to 7.8 on Linux. I'm unable to bring up the JBOSS...getting an error ERROR [org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.[jboss.web].[default-host].[/ss]] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 58) JBWEB000287: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.appian.es.webapp.NodeInitListener: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Failed to initialize ElasticSearch node on any of the specified ports MSC000001: Failed to start service jboss.web.deployment.default-host./ss:led to start context Attaching server log. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Is this a distributed setup? Check if your appian-topology.xml is configured correctly - run it through an xml validator to verify ( http://www.xmlvalidation.com)
