FitNesse for Appian: Wait until Element is Clickable or Visible?

Hi, 
 Is it possible to wait until a specific element (button, link, field, etc) is click-able or visible on a form? 
 We recently ran into an issue where we are navigating through an Appian application and the script will only be successful when we use the "|wait for |2|seconds|" method after clicking certain buttons or links. If there was a method to wait until a certain element was click-able or visible, it may resolve this issue. Please let me know. Thanks.

Have you tried the "wait for working" or "wait for progress bar" commands? Those will wait until the page finishes loading after the previous change and doesn't require you to wait for a specific amount of time.
