Appian Community and Appian Academy are being upgraded. As a part of the upgrade, Appian Community is currently in read-only mode, and user registration is disabled until August 3. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but a more secure, stable, and performant Community experience is coming soon!
The new Appian Community launches August 3, followed by Appian Academy on August 7. During the migration, Appian Community Edition, Appian Academy, Documentation, Certifications, Instructor-led Customer Training, Partner Sales Training & Accreditation, and Forum (for Appian Partners and Customers only) will remain available.
Hi everyone,
can anyone please show me the expression to make my Task Tab visible only to the selected user group.
Thanks in advance
Discussion posts and replies are publicly visible
Yes. This is how you do that.
For the group, create a constant pointing to that group.
Now u got me confused. What is the essence of creating a constant again? Can't that be written as expression directly ? Thanks in advance for the response
Interesting question you have. How much experience do you have with Appian? Did you follow the online trainings and tutorials?

I am a beginner, the more reason comprehensive explanations would be preferred and appreciated. Thanks for the question Stefan.
yep, it worked. The expression I used : a!isUserMemberOfGroup(loggedInUser(),cons!SHP_ADMINGROUP),note- SHP is my application name.
