How to get the response of a WebAPI on a click of a button

I have a scenario where there is a web api returning a basic textual response, and this web API has to be triggered when the user clicks on submit button.
This is something that we do with Integrations, similarly I have to call a webAPI on the click of a button.

You didn't mention the "plugin" requirement previously. Perhaps you could provide a bit more detail as to your use case and what you're trying to accomplish? If you already went over this in a prior post though, I'd gently like to suggest that the proper venue for follow-up might actually be to add more comments to the prior post (and previous responders) rather than creating a brand new post, with no context to the previous one.
