Implementing End-to-End Automation with Selenium in Appian

Question

We're planning to implement end-to-end automation using Selenium and are facing challenges due to missing IDs on DOM elements for each control. Typically, web applications have unique IDs assigned to each control, which facilitates automation by allowing scripts to find and interact with controls to perform actions like clicking and sending keys.

However, we haven't found a way to achieve this in Appian. Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot assign unique DOM Ids in interfaces. For stable UI automation, use FitNesse for Appian, Cucumber for Appian, or Appian Selenium API, instead of raw Selenium identifiers.
