How to make custom Component System Plug-ins (CSP) ?

Hi everyone. 
 I want to use external grid in Appian. I'm trying to create Appian's component using an external js file. I'm new to Appian. Please provide detailed documentation or examples for reference. And is it possible to create a component using Eclipse? If possible, please let me know the relevant documentation on how to adjust Eclipse's settings.

I highly recommend using this 
 https://www.npmjs.com/package/sail-tools 
 Makes managing and testing a breeze. If you are familiar with Eclipse, go with it. Any other syntax highlighting editor would do it.
