Hi, I am completing the Appian dev path and on the second exercise, when verifying the data store I am getting the following error:

How does you cdt look like?
Are there several CDT s connected to the data store?
Did you create that DataStore before and modified some CDTs meanwhile? In that case and assuming you do not have any relevant data in that tables, I would just drop the tables and have Appian recreate them.
The root cause here is, that Appian will not modify existing tables or fields.
Hi Richard. First of all thank you for taking the time to help me out! So there is only one CDT connected to this data store. This is how my CDT looks like:
Hi Stefan, thank you for taking the time to reply to my issue. So I followed the step by step guide and in there it says to create the CDT first and then the DataStore. So to answer your question, the CDT was created first. I only have one CDT connected to this datastore.
What I mean, is that when you have an existing CDT and DS, and then modify the CDT, you might get into this issue. For example, when you forgot to add the field "id" defined as primary key, then published, then added this field.
Got cha . yea that makes total sense. I did not modified the CDT after publish it. Actually, I haven't had the chance to even publish this due to the error I am getting. When I was about to publish thats where I got the error.
OK. Had to make sure it is no editing problem.
Can you download the XSD and post it here?
It looks like you're trying to use a text field for your ID - is that correct? Also have you tried to use auto-generate on this field? I believe auto-generate only works on integer fields. Also in general using an integer for the ID is recommended because the performance will be much better when using this field as a foreign key.
Peter Lewis Great you spotted that.
Thank for also helping me out with this. I really appreciate it!
