Getting Error in Script Task

While saving the process variable data in script task getting following error: 
 Error writing to process variables (rank, for variable 'pv!sectionfieldmapping'., type, for variable 'pv!sectionfieldmapping'.) (Data Outputs)

Agree with Stefan we will need to see the code snippet to resolve. My guess however is that you have an errant period after your variable, something like: 
 "=pv!sectionfieldmapping . "
