A field set to readOnly does never evaluate the saveInto.
Do you have a submit button? Put that logic in there.
can you Elaborate
Hm ... about what? A submit button also has a saveInto. This is evaluated as the user clicks it.
Do you have a specific question?
yes, but i need to display the date but not clicking option
i need to display it like this but in read only format ,the user cannot be changing the date
Then just do both. Display it read only in the text field and add the saveInto logic to the button.
Do you have any extra requirement?
I'm with Stefan. If you set a local!variable to today() you can then:
1. use that as the value attribute of your text field (note: you can use the text() fucntion to formaty the date value e.g. text(local!todaysDate,"dd/mm/yyyy")
2. use it to set the value of ri!LM_CustomerDetails.loanid.dateOfApplication when the user hits the 'Submit' button
yeah i understood thanks for the answer
Is this about showing the borders of the text field in read-only mode?
thanks stefan
