readonlygrid selected row data is not loading into a textfield.

Question

Hi, 
 I have a readonly grid and loading the data using RecordType. 
 
 When select any row selected, I am storing into a local variable of specific type.

When I try to load the value of firstname like below, it was not loading any thing into the textfield. Can someone advise what went wrong.

Hello swapnar6405 , 
 You cannot index recordType using the .notation. you will have to call the field by the recordType!recordName.Field. 
 index(yourvariable,recordtType!recordName.field,null). I hope this will do the work.
