Can we disable the task bar controls in 16.3
sunithas

Hello,
We recently upgraded to 16.3 . Our application uses sites. Looks like the task controls that used to take up space in the left-hand panel (save changes, reassign, and reject), have been moved to a cleaner, easier-to-find task bar along the top of the task interface in Tempo, sites, and embedded. And freeing up that space gives designers more room to work with.
Does anyone know if we can disable this task bar in sites, If yes how can we do that. Any alternate options, suggestions or ideas…

Hi Sunitha, Have you tried restricting the "Re-assignment Privileges" which will be available on the User Input Task. In your case, you may have to opt for "No Privilege". Please find the snapshot for reference.
1. Go to Assignment tab on User Input Task and assign the desired user/group
2. click on Set Re-assignment Privileges for assignees
3. Now select the "No Privilege" option
This might resolve your issue.

Hi Poornah, The solution you provided will help me to get rid of reassign and reject buttons of task bar but SAVE is still showing up. Is there any way we can also disable or hide the SAVE button on task bar. please find the screen shot

@sunithas I doubt if the above-mentioned approach can completely disable the task bar. It might disable the assignment options but still we would be left over with 'Save' option which isnt configurable yet afaik and so, still the task bar might be visible.

Yes Sunitha, as you observed and @sikhivahans mentioned the option - Save - will still be available which we cannot make disappear but at least with this approach you can restrict the user to not to go for remaining options other than saving their work on the form.

@sunithas To the best of my knowledge this feature will be controlling the appearance options such as 'Reassign', 'Change Priority' etc which are available on top left of the Task(in the Portal Interface) and this is a feature that will be useful for the forms designed using Forms Designer and these have zero effect on the SAIL Forms. As far as I remember this feature is deprecated and options like these(associated with Forms designed using Forms Designer) will be removed once when the Forms Designer is removed.

@sunithas Here's the link for you:
forum.appian.com/.../Forms_Designer.html
. All the options (available at the location pointed by you) are deprecated and will be removed at some point in time along with the Forms Designer.

@Sunitha, I completely agree with Sikhi. I am about to point to the URL in fact. As it says, there won't be any appearance difference on your SAIL forms even if you work out on those options as they are completely designed for the Portal Forms Designer.
