esriMapSketchField

Overview

Using a map, the plug-in allows users to sketch geometries (points, polylines, or polygons), search an address, reference existing map layer data, and do reverse geocoding of an address from a given point and use the data in Appian as needed. It also allows for displaying a read-only 'feature layer' that can display geometry hosted externally on arcgis.com or from an ESRI enterprise server.
One use case example is in the context of applying for governmental permits, the public can identify addresses, point locations, or sketch land parcels/areas on a map to facilitate the submission of land-use or building permit applications.
