Overview
While Appian can automate workflow, business processes and user journeys, organizations need an easy mechanism to verify most important activities and things 'to do’ within workflow tasks. This would help departments to reduce errors and ensure consistency and completeness in carrying out activities with tasks. TrakWork Framework is aimed at solving this business need for any organisation. It is a framework that can correctly, completely and consistently generate a list of pre-configured 'To-Do' list of items which can be assigned and moved through pre-configured workflows. TrakWork also eliminates the need to create workflows but rather can make workflows for a process configurable.
Consider an example of employee recruitment. Organizations can recruit across different their different entities across geographies (UK, US, India etc), different departments (IT, Finance, Ops etc), different roles (Managerial, Technical, Admin, Executive) or across different staff types (Permanent, Contractor, Fixed term). This creates a need to design processes to take care of various permutations and combinations. By using the TrakWork Framework, Users can just identify these parameters and for various permutations and combinations 'configure' the workflow and the tasks as against having to create custom development. This Framework can also be used by many Lines of Businesses like Banks (Customer On-boarding), Financial Services (Investment On-boarding), Asset On-boarding, GDPR (various requests across different departments or customers), Insurance (New Quotes, MTA / Endorsements) and many more.
The Framework is not a stand-alone application but can be the building block used by development teams to create any features or an application around it. Power Users (Application Administrators, Business Admininstrators) can easily 'configure' changes to existing 'To-Do' items or create new 'To-Do' items depending on the ever changing business needs or regulatory needs.
