Appian Community and Appian Academy are being upgraded. From July 24–August 3, the Appian Community will be in read-only mode. During this time, the site will be read-only and user registration will be disabled. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but a more secure, stable, and performant Community experience is coming soon!

The new Appian Community launches August 3, followed by Appian Academy on August 7. During the migration, Appian Community Edition, Appian Academy, Documentation, Certifications, Instructor-led Customer Training, Partner Sales Training & Accreditation, and Forum (for Appian Partners and Customers only) will remain available.

Weather Widget

Overview

In the last few years, access to weather information has eased with the help of several weather apps, services, and APIs. Taking this idea to next level, this component is built to easily embed reliable and accurate weather information on Appian home pages, dashboards and forms.

This will make user experience more seamless as this information will be readily available within Appian and user's would no longer need to use separate weather apps on their smartphone or via web browser. Specifically useful to check weather conditions before visiting the site and using this component, all this useful weather information can be a part of Appian site / application.

This UI component is developed using Appian out-of-the-box objects and uses "OpenWeatherMap" weather API's. No additional plugins required.
