With the Appian 25.1 release, we are enhancing our data fabric architecture to support greater scalability and performance throughout your applications. You’ll now be able to sync up to 10 million rows in each record type, up from 4 million rows in 24.4. You’ll also see performance improvements, particularly for complex queries.
From October 2024 to January 2025, five Appian customers and partners across industries participated in the data fabric enhancements beta program to experience the new data fabric first-hand. Participants found that executing complex queries against their largest record types was 5–10x faster, with certain queries speeding up as much as 40x.
Here’s what beta participants had to say:
"We participated in the beta program for these new data fabric enhancements to evaluate the performance of our high-volume datasets with data fabric insights. We were really happy with the performance and, as a result, we are committed to investing further in the Appian data fabric capabilities this year."
Michael D'Itri, Manager, Wireless DevOps Data & Tools, TELUS
"The results we experienced in the beta program exceeded our expectations. We were hoping it would be 50% faster, and were excited to see a 5x improvement! We believe these performance improvements will have a big impact on our customers."
Rob Turverey, Director of Learning and Delivery, Groundswell
