Beta Program FAQs
How do I express interest in a beta program?
Check out the Current Beta Programs section of this site to learn more about the in-progress and upcoming beta programs. If none of these programs seem like the right fit but you want to receive information about future betas, please complete this form.
How does the beta selection process work?
If the Appian Product team believes your use case is a strong fit, we will reach out to you via email to schedule a 30-minute discovery call to learn more about your use case and share program details. If both parties determine the program is a good fit, you’ll be invited to participate.
What prerequisites are needed for participating in a beta program?
You must be a current Appian customer or partner. Additionally, a beta agreement must be signed by someone in your organization, which is separate from any existing agreements or contracts your organization already has in place with Appian. This agreement doesn’t come with any financial costs and it will be provided to you if you are selected by the product team to participate in the beta program.
What is the time commitment for participating?
This varies for each program. Generally, a capability in beta for 3-6 months. We ask participants to set aside dedicated time at a regular cadence to use the capability. The Appian Product team will meet with you and your team weekly or as needed on request.
How will I obtain access to the beta functionality?
This varies for each program. Sometimes it will be functionality that is packaged as an application or component plugin that will be installed on one of your existing Appian sites. For other beta programs, a new site with the beta functionality will be provided to you by Appian.
What is the process for transitioning from a beta program to using the new capability once it’s generally available?
At the conclusion of the beta program, your account executive and account team will discuss options for continued usage once the offering is no longer in beta and is generally available.
