Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)

Over the course of this COVID-19 pandemic, over 200 Trillion COVID tests have been carried out globally by diagnostic laboratories thus far. This high volume of COVID-19 testing has resulted in much higher workloads on these laboratories. Lab technicians have had to work overtime to analyze and return COVID-19 test results in a timely manner. This workload has typically been in addition to supporting their usual day to day workload of other tests. Make shift laboratories have also been stood up to support COVID testing, and outreach to individuals in the more remote or rural areas.
