Administration
Issue while starting JBoss
rishub

hi All,
We are upgrading from Appian 7.5. When I completed the upgrade & started Jboss, I got an error "jboss home may be pointing to a different installation" & it is showing the location of my previous environment. I did check the environment variables & there the JBOSS_HOME has been updated. Can anyone guide where else I can be pointing to my previous JBoss and how can I fix it?

Did you follow the instructions in the upgrade guide to rename the directory for the old installation and then install in a directory with the name of the original installation? This is the method I use as JBoss will 'store' the Appian installation location.

If you did not, go look at this guide for which paths to change.
Thanks!

Thanks @Christineh & @nagashankaran for input. The issue was in JDK. When we upgraded from Java 7 to 8, it did not load correctly so had to delete all java versions and restart server and then install Java 8 again. That fixed the issue.
