Administration
Control Appian app timeout
Rob Ellis

When using the web interface we have to implement a 30 minute timeout, which we were able to do.
The question, how can we replicate this for the mobile application? It seems to operate off a different timeout setting currently.
Thanks

Can you elaborate a bit on what you're seeing? If a user has the app closed or backgrounded for 30+ minutes, are they able to open the app and access the site without being prompted to sign back in?
Are you using SSO / SAML?
As far as I know, the session timeout setting applies to all platforms.

Hi Eliot
Yes, that's exactly what i am seeing. If we use the app it allows me to leave it and come back to it without re authentication, if using the web it respects the set timeout and requires me to log in.
I am trying it in a few environments and they all seem to behave this way. The most basic setup is simply using openConnect.

Rob,
Are you referring to iOS, Android, or both?

When you re-open the app, are you able to kickoff actions or refresh the newsfeed?
