IE will not open when running test script with FitNesse for Appian

We are seeing the following error when trying to open IE browser using FitNesse for Appian:
Unexpected error launching Internet Explorer. Protected Mode settings are not the same for all zones. Enable Protected Mode must be set to the same value (enabled or disabled) for all zones.
os.name: 'Windows 7', os.arch: 'amd64', os.version: '6.1', java.version: '1.8.0_112'

Has anyone seen this error before, and if so how did you resolve it? We don't have access to Security tab of IE Internet Options due to group security policies to make the Protected Mode setting same across all zones.

Hi gaurav,

I resolved it by enabling the protected mode in Security tab under Internet Options of IE Browser for all the zones. However it is the option for running the tests in IE Browser. There is no such setting requirement is needed for other browsers to run the tests.

I resolved it by enabling the protected mode in Security tab under Internet Options of IE Browser for all the zones. However it is the option for running the tests in IE Browser. There is no such setting requirement is needed for other browsers to run the tests.
