First time login adminsitration on a recently intalled appian server issue

Question

Hi 
 I just installed my first appian server, it took me kinda long time to acomplish it but when evereything was set up I tried to login with the temporary admin account configured in password.properties file as in the instructions specifies. Create-first-system-administrator-user 
 
 But instead of prompting to change password for the user, this is what happens

But how i am suppes to contact the administrator for forgotten password if i am the admin user trying to login. 
 I changed the password then in password.properties file, but no succes. 
 
 Any suggestions? Thans in advance

By default the temporary password expires in 10080 minutes (1 week). You will not be able to create another admin user using the password.properties file as a user will only be created if there are currently no active system admins on the system.

In your case I suggest that you do a fresh install of Appian and copy over your configuration files to save you from having to set them up again. Also I suggest clearing your primary database prior to starting up the application server for the new installation.

If you setup the a repository using the configure script before you do the initial startup, your setting will be a lot easier to redeploy. A repository can be setup for more than just one environment at a time so you set it up once copy it from one environment to the next. This also makes doing a clean install a lot faster and easier.
