does anyone know what is the function of this java process related to the engines?

java -cp <APPIAN_HOME>_admin/_scripts/classpath.jar:. -Dlog4j.configuration=monitor_log4j.properties -DAE_LOGS=/logs -Xmx128m com.appiancorp.common.monitoring.standalone.AppianMonitor

How can it be stopped and started without restarting the engines?

If it cannot be stopped, what are the ramifications if it's killed while engines are running?

I am trying to upgrade java version without restarting the engines, and this process uses java.
