Process for adding many users into Appian automatically

Question

Has anyone been able to accomplish a process model and/or utilize a plugin to pull user information (name, address, phone #) from spreadsheet/csv data automatically into Appian? I don't need to have the option to assign security groups but would like to have a process for when we go-live with new applications and 100's of users are needed. If there are existing smartservices let me know.

This functionality could be accomplished using a combination of the ExcelTools plugin and the Add User Smart Service. Please see the documentation links below:

I actually just finished building an application that does exactly this, including adding security groups. The "Excel Tools" plug-in is very helpful for this. You can provide your users with an Excel template to fill out, then read the filled out and uploaded Excel file into a CDT in-process, then use that to create the users.
