Pre-requisites for upgrading to Appian 17.2 versus 17.3

We are currently in the process of upgrading from version 7.10 and are planning to go to 17.1 first and then to 17.3

The reason for this was purely because the upgrade notes for 17.2 stated that we have to be on Version 7.11 to upgrade.

BUT now I see that the upgrade notes for 17.3 state that we only need to be on version 16.2 or higher.

Is this correct? why would 17.2 require 7.11 but 17.3 only require 16.2?

if you want to update Appian version 17.3 you must be on version 16.2 or higher,
if you want to update Appian version 17.2 you must be on version 7.11 or higher,
if you want to update Appian version 16.2 you must be on version 7.7 or higher,

present you are in 7.10 so,update Appian to 16.2 after then to 17.3

their you can find the necessary steps to update Appian.

My brain was obviously on vacation when I logged this. For some reason I didn't realize that 16.2 is a later release than 7.10 - duh.
