Appian Alert Email with no text but see only placeholders

Question

We recently upgrade our environment from 7.6 to 17.2 and we have observed that when we Reset a user's password, through the Admin Console, the e-mail that is sent to the user does not display the proper text but only the placeholders for the text. 
 For example, it displays : 
 ???Greeting??? ???YourPasswordHasBeenCreatedBy??? ???ToLogin??? ???LoginURLProblems??? ???MailBody2??? 
 ???MailBody2a??? ???MailBody2b??? 
 ???MailBody3??? 
 ???MailBody3a??? ???MailBody3b??? ???MailBody3c??? 
 ???IfYouHaveQuestions??? ???ThankYou???

The problem got resolved after disabling few configurations done in 7.6 in custom JSP files mentioned in custom.properties file

Agree with Lokesh. This is not an ideal behaviour. If you are using a cloud instance check with Appian Support team and also check whether any hot fixes have been missed as you have upgraded from 7.6 to 7.12
