I could able to start the Zookeeper and I am unable to start the kafka server

I have had a similar problem installing appian on ubuntu.
I think it's a bug.
In the scripts I have replace -XX:+PrintGCDateStamps that is deprecated with java 10
by
-Xlog:gc
hope this might help
