Importing Application: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space (APNX-1-4071-001).

Question

I am getting this error when I am importing Application an environment. 
 The content [_a-XXXXXXX-4062-8000-5130-XXXXXXXXX_63143]/[109169] could not be transported. Cause: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space (APNX-1-4071-001). 
 Any idea why I am getting this import error?

I think 500 objects is not that much I have imported and exported that much and mostly those are XML's I have done multiple imports and exports with 500 or more components 
 
1) One good reason for you to have this kind or error is that you have a huge document in the application. If you don't know the package you can unzip the file and use a tool to verify which file or files are the large. (you can use a tool like this https://windirstat.net/) 
 
If this is the case why don't change the file to a little one (so the export/import becomes little enough) then in the target environment just upload the file you need by updating just the version (so you don't lose the reference of the file, for example in a constant) 
 
2) If you really don't have a huge file or multiple files inside the export, then try splitting the application into multiple applications, here is one suggested way to split. community.appian.com/.../promoting-and-deploying-applications 
 
3) If you still have errors by doing this kind of things you can try increasing the Java Memory, you can find post on the same like this

I am curious how much size is the zip file?
