KDB Files Transfer for 16.X version to 17.X version

Can you elaborate on your use case? If you're updating your version of Appian, you should follow the documentation that Carlos linked to. If your question is not about how to update Appian, then moving kdb files is likely the wrong approach.

While upgrading your version from 16.3 version to higher,Simply you can follow the steps which are mentioned in the given link (docs.appian.com/.../Upgrade_Guide),

Note: Before shutting down your engines you should take the backup by (/usr/local/appian/services/bin/.checkpoint.sh )using the mentioned command,Don't bother about the backup procedure. Appian will automatically take the backup in the form of KDB files while shutting down .

Note: The system may still start successfully with improperly copied or missing resources. However, resulting system errors may still occur later when a process action that relies on a missing resource is attempted.
