How to configure Appian to receive emails?

Email Configuration for Receiving Emails -->

Do we need to configure the Receive Emails part in ejb-jar.xml before configuring the conf.mailhandler.alias in custom.properties?

Or will ONLY configuring conf.mailhandler.alias in custom.properties work?...

  • Alex. Thanks.. But we are using Appian 6.6.1 and for 6.6.1 it says the password should also be in the ejb-jar.xml file and not in a separate file?

Is that correct for Appian 6.6.1?

Also after performing all 4 steps:-

    1) Configure receive emails using ejb-jar.xml
    2) Changing conf.suite.ANONYMOUS_ACCESS = true in custom.properties
    3) Creating alias using conf.mailhandler.alias in custom.properties
    4) Enabling Public Events on Process Models

Do we need to also specify any condition in the Receive Message Setup i.e. --> Event Conditions --> Start process only if conditions are true?

Or we can leave this part blank and the Process Model will auto-receive all emails after the above setup?
