Question

I know that no one likes to talk about it but occasionally an application is no longer needed. How can we remove the objects associated to this application? The only way that I have seen so far is very painful and involves deleting objects one at a time.

The most recent release of Appian, 18.1, allows you to delete objects in bulk. docs.appian.com/.../Appian_Release_Notes.html Deleting objects is a common activity, and there are many reasons that a designer might want to delete something. However, it is important to be careful that the object(s) you're deleting aren't used elsewhere (such as other applications), or those things may no longer work as expected. For greater peace of mind, you may want to 1) check dependents for the objects you plan to delete 2) export those objects (as part of a patch or application package), so that if problems are discovered after deletion, you can re-import the objects.
